Barramundi Fishing and Aquaculture.

At Mango Paradise all our guests can enjoy fishing sessions with their cabin stay, or see how a commercial aquaculture venture works. For the avid fisherman, try beat the current champion catch, a ~100cm barramundi in 2010. With over 600 large Barra, there's many bigger out there. Col, owner manager, is always more than willing to share tips and tales with novices by the dam.

Silver perch off to the market

"We had a fantastic time catching 12 barra’s and losing about 15. The biggest was 85cm. A very nice place to stay, we will be back. Thankyou."
- Arthur, Jo, Chloe and Holly Smith, Brooklet NSW.

* A fishing session with bait is included in your accommodation, but remember, barra bite better towards dusk or early morning, so these times are preferred.

Mango Paradise Aquaculture

Mango Paradise incorporates 4 red claw ponds, I4 grow-out fishponds, and 1 large barramundi dam for farmstay fishing, with a total of over 110, 000 fish on site. We smoke our own silver perch in the old European wood-fired style, and waste water is used as an environmentally-friendly fertilizer for our fruit orchards and sugarcane. Our aquaculture produces over 40tonnes of fish per year for sale to the Sydney and local market, and seafood is also available from the Larder (pricing on request).
